Hello, nice to be on here again, I’m a dtp/digital print manager, working in France, originally from South Africa where I did mostly layout art projects.

Having a British Passport,- technically based graphics and digital printing. I have 10 years experience, now employed in an industrial environement for the past 5 years.

I very much enjoyed being here some years back as company-man when I had my own company and having just bought a versa camm SP540V.

Would like to develop to print using ultra violet. Technically and graphiclly minded I’m interested in high end production.

Thankyou for taking the time to read my presentation note.

Hello Everyone, just a little note to say Happy New Year, before the month ends. Wishing everyone great success, and lots of clear visions for 2013.

One thing I did learn being a company owner was, sometimes it’s ok to close shop, let the dust settle and start again. No point in pounding one’s own head. Better to close up, walk away and look at the challenge from a different angle.

Starting a company is always easier, once you’ve been a company owner, you know where the pitfalls are. I know I learnt a lot. If I had stayed small for a couple of years I would have been plain sailing. That’s where the key is I believe, small to start, and become a regular part of the community. Events, functions, short delays, dynamic hours. That kind of thing. Build up a steady client base, once that’s established, one can invest and take bigger risks.

Good luck everyone, go for it. 2013 will not wait for anyone, it’s the way of the world.

    Patrick
