The Roland SX-15 gives you the option to change parameters, such as page size, cutter offset, tool 1-4, etc, within the Advanced Options.

The default blade offset is 0.25mm. This can easily be changed, along with other parameters, and the result is noticeable. However I can’t seem to save this change!

If I close the program, upon returning to these settings, they are back to 0.25mm, machine setting, etc.

I have tried saving the file I’m working on, but even after reopening that, the settings are lost. Anyone know if I’m doing summat wrong, or it’s just not possible to save these settings. 🙁

Phill, may not help but I can set the parameters for my plotter either via the plotter itself or the software I am using to plot from. Is your cutting software over riding the changes you make in the advanced menu??
If it is there may be a way to turn it off so it doesn’t make any changes.

Hi Martin. I hear what you’re saying. I’m using Dr Stika Plus to cut with, which is Rolands’ own software (as far as I’m aware). I’m also not aware of any other locations where I can change the parameters.

I could try using a different package, but that doesn’t really resolve my issue 🙁

if you set up as required by go to the driver via printers and fax, those changes will be saved as your default, but allows you to alter at time of print but then not changed.

You’re a star. getting to "almost" the same menu from a different direction, giving me the opportunity to apply my changes, which wasn’t available doing it my way.
    Cheers 😀
