Hi from Nantwich – Cheshire
Posted by Phil Buckley on 23 August 2012 at 09:04Hello there. My name is Phil and I am an Airbrush artist. I currently have a Roland Stika cutter which is used almost daily to cut masks for spraying, using the Dr Stika Plus software supplied. I’m sure there is better software out there, but at this point in time, I’m in my comfort zone !!
I am looking to get a second bigger cutter in the very near future, we will see what happens.

Welcome to the board Phil. I’ve messed around with airbrushes in the past but never really got anywhere with them. Would love to be able to do it well though.

Hello from near Pittsburgh PA.
I am a regular sign painter, plus I make the good old licky-stickies.
Get yourself Corel and a 24" Graphtec plotter to cut your masking.
You’ll love the speed and the ease of it, the tracking is not so great.
You might also see if anyone is selling a used Gerber Envision with their software (a 15" plotter) They run like a train on rails.
But for the money, I’d go with my first suggestion. You can cut directly from Corel.
You can get a scanner and put your own designs into Corel to make them vector drawings.
Good luck.

Thankyou form the warm welcome folks.
My current cutter is the 15" Roland, which although is slow, it seems to do the job in hand. Watch this space… :lol1:As for software, I just use PSPro, which is cheap and cheerful. (Must get something better) (-)

Just downloaded SignBlazer and am trying to venture into new territory. May well be asking a few questions shortly if I can’t resolve issues !!
