  • Advice, best material for bill board signs.

I have a customer who wants to build a large billboard sign at the entrance to their industrial estate, and I will be supplying the posters for them to cover the board with.

All the large bill boards near me seem to have a metal material that the posters cover. I don’t know if that is for strength or if there’s another reason they use it?

This signs not going to be as large as the usual advertising boards 3000x1400mm

The customer is manufacturing the actual board the posters will cover.

    thanks in advance

I think you’ll find the galvanised metal is there so the posters and glue can be cleaned off easily after they have done their job, ready for the next one from the days when posters were sheets of tiled paper and glue.
Nowadays – in NZ anyhow – the poster itself is usually a large banner stretched over the frame, so it doesnt matter what’s underneath.

    Cheers Simon,

I am thinking maybe a flex face system would work, as I can’t imagine the board changing that often?

It doesn’t need to be illuminated but it might be more durable easier to change?

    Any suggestions of a supplier?
