Folding a banner edge
Posted by Daniel Evans on 15 June 2012 at 21:46Hey guys
I’ve just started making my own banners and i’m trying to find the best way of getting a straight edge once it’s folded, i’m sure it’s very simple and i’m gonna look a right idiot asking but needs must.
I’m using hemming tape then folding it by hand by my lines are not 100% straight, any ideas?

We just have a piece of plastic 50mm wide, it’s held against the edge of the banner and a pencil line drawn on all round the banner.
Remove the backing from the tape and fold the outside edge of the banner to the line – works a treat!

easy – print the lines as part of the design, cut to the outer…strip off all the tape backing and fold over as you go – then firm into place with a roller or hard squeegee.
Made hundreds of ’em!

print border around banner also then tape and turn then run it under the rolls roller the banner comes out with a lovely flat finish 😀

The signmaking equivalent of saying
