Advice needed running a Liyu vinyl cutter?
Hello all I’m wondering if any kind person could help me out here,
I’ve have recently purchased the above vinyl cutter and have it connected to my laptop via USB, I mucked around with the settings got it going after a short while, using signlab got 2 cuts out of it and then all i’m getting is port fault thingy, i’m unsure what i had the settings at. anyone had the same problem?Kind regards

Hi Stephen, if you go to the Say Hello forum and introduce yourself, tell us a little about your background etc. you’ll probably find you’ll get help with your problem.

It might also be worthwhile contacting either CADLINK for the correct driver or your plotter supplier.

I might be able to help. I write most of the drivers at cadlink.
I would need to know the exact error message you are getting.
Also would need to know the Version production date of your Signlab.
You can find that in Help/About Signlab -

You can find that in Help/About Signlabi’d doubt with a £200 cutter that it’s a original version of signlab 😕

Hi all and thanks for the tips on what it could be, also i forgot to mention that its a demonstration version of sign lab I’m using I was told that a graptec driver would work on it, but unsure.

Signlab 9 and probably 8 have a LiYu folder under File Install drivers.
I would try those first.The Liyu SC sreies is supposed to understang DMPL and HPGL
Is it a SC series cutter?Our Liyu drivers are DMPL drivers.
We have some HPGL graphetec drivers.Try the Liyu drivers.
Does it cut what it is supposed to?
If there are error messages, what is the exact error message.
What is the production date and version of your Signlab -
Hi All
Thanks for the great support i eventually got it going I found out that its compatible with a graphtec 5xxxx driver so it’s up and working as for the 200 pound cutter it’s doing the job.
