Do you post-heat vinyl wraps on vehicles?
Posted by Neil Beckett on 25 May 2012 at 04:41Hi all,
Not done any wraps yet, though just wondered if you post-heated your vinyl after fitting?
many thanks,

Mate…ALWAYS!!!
Not being funny but if you have to ask that question you shouldn’t consider doing a wrap 😮

Hi Lee, I’m still learning and very new to the sign industry. Not planning to do any wraps just yet, just trying to improve my knowledge and understanding of the industry. What may seem obvious to you may not be to a beginner and we all have to start somewhere.
Thanks. -
That’s cool mate, I guess I did come across a bit harsh.
Get on to a wrapping course if you’re interested in learning how to do it. I just completed my 7th course in 5 years.
I pick up something new every time I do one. Then it’s a case of practice, practice and learn from your mistakes.
Keep reading and asking questions.

Thanks Lee, yeah it’s something I really want to get into further down the line. I’d love to get on a wrapping course sometimes very soon. Know of any resources where I can find a course in my area?
Thanks,

Where are you at?
There is an Avery wrap course in 6 days in Sydney, end of October in Brisbane.(two in New Zealand in between for a tax provided holiday 😛 )

Before enrolling for a course, there are many instructional videos on youtube which would give you a basic knowledge before attending any courses. There is certainly tons more to wrapping than what you’ll pick up on a forum

You will learn a lot of the theory doing the Avery modules.

I’m in Mornington, Victoria.
Thanks so much for your replies the Avery site looks fantastic. Much appreciated!

You’re welcome guys.
Get down to the Avery training days also. Not only do you get to learn a few things the main benefit is you get to play with films you aren’t really going to go out and buy for the sake of practising. The cost of the courses is outweighed by this and plus if you’re a big eater like myself you’ll make up for most of the cost at lunch time 🙂
