Just wondering if anyone has a better way of cutting dibond, skybond etc. so as not to have to file edges. Pre-cut from supplier not too bad, but this doesn’t always suit. Have used a skill saw and bench saw with a fine blade which leaves an edge slightly raised. Also, mainly score with a knife and snap which is best so far, but still spend more time filing than anything else.
    Any ideas.

we use a guillotine, fastest and neatest cut i know of.

however, years ago we purchased a sort of hand held claw device. some will probably know the correct name for it. i "think" it was originally for acrylic.
anyway, once you cut the sheet. you simply dragged the claw down the side of the sheet and it shamferd (spelling) both sides of the edge at once, leaving a good ragged free edge.

just thought ide add this as i remember it working with dibond some years ago.
    only cost about £15

Get yourself a deburring tool like this one

    Removes sharp edges in seconds.

Like Derek, I have a steeltrack which cuts composite with ease leaving a very smooth clean cut

Thanks to all, is steeltrack the brand name, or what should I search for?

The only thing that lets the Steeltrak down is that the maximum cutting height is 60". so you cant cut a 8’x4′ sheet in half (to make 2 8’x2’s)
