Supplier of rollable correx, help please?
Posted by Thomas Pitt on 15 May 2012 at 08:54Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can get rollable/routed correx? We used a company a few years ago called versamount, but they don’t seem to be about any more. Another company shell – clad don’t stock the size we need.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Thomas, could you not make it rollable yourself, by cutting up the channels on the reverse side? I think I saw a tutorial here somewhere. Using a Correx cutter, it would be a very simple job.

Thank you for the reply Lorraine. I’ve cut slits in the back of normal correx before on a panel saw to make a toblerone shape, but this material we bought in ready rolled up has a thicker flute making it much more rigid whilst still conforming to the curved structure. I’m not sure of it’s proper name. 🙁

could it be Dufaylite? they create all sorts of sturdy structures for exhibitions and the like…

Thomas, I really am guessing, but could it have been 10mm Correx? That is a lot more solid.

Tim – it does have a website, but the contact number given doesn’t work and no-body replies to the emails. Somebody told me a year back that they had gone under.
Rob – That’s not the stuff, but it’s an interesting looking product.
Lorraine – yes I could see that working, it just takes me so long to put the slits in!
John – I’m after 10@ 3000mm x 2000mm sheets, they are on the large side. This is the problem with finding people who has it, one supplier can get it but I would have to order a few hundred at one time! 😮 shell cladd sell 8×4 sheets off the shelve but they are too small for this job. Thank you for the offer.
Thanks for your suggestions guys, I think for this job we are going to have use 1mm foamex instead.

Hi Thomas – try these guys rollapol.co.uk same product as versamount – not used them but had them on my contact list)

The foamex is working well, a better finnish but very brittle!
