I’ve just made up a sign from artwork supplied.

Full colour mounted onto 5mm foam PVC. I printed the two halves of the sign and mounted it dry using my Easy Mount onto over sized boards and trimmed out flush.

When I but the two boards together the text in the centre of the board aligns perfect, but each end it’s off by about 5mm.

    I don’t know what’s caused this.

The signs 2.9m long and 1.8m deep in total, so doubt it will be visible when fitted.

Any idea’s what the cause is?

David, I’ve got an easymount also & have the same problem. I find it impossible to laminate large vinyl prints, the laminate starts to crease after about 600mm, but smaller prints upto 900mm wide no problem(have done this size 20m long in one run).
I have asked around and the problem seems to be with the bearings. I don’t know if this will help with stretching as I can’t get anyone to fix the problem over here.
Ask your supplier if they agree with this.

Laminating can cause media strain, stretching/skewing of graphics, the larger the graphic the more noticeable it is, The cause is tension in laminate or heat.
