    Morning all

Ive not been on for a while, but thought id ask a question

we have been running after market inks colourific for some time now, seems ok but the cartridges dont seem to last very long and the suppllier always seem to make a mess of our orders

i went to the sign show and saw a chap at a stand called jet best saying there ink is better

The jetbest bulk ink system seems a bargain

Now i need a good ink system and good supplier

does anyone know which to choose or recommend another

we run a mimaki jv3 130sp2 we used to run genuine ink but the price of ink wasent selling so we had to choose something cheaper

    what do people recommend

    thanks

I have run Jetbest bulk ink in my Mimaki JV3 for over 2 years now and never had any problems at all.

John, if your running Jetbest inks do you buy them in the UK or do you ship them in yourself??

I had the jetbest pigment ink running in a printer & was very happy with the inks but was let down by the supplier so had to switch to a different ink.

There is only one supplier in the UK as far as I am aware…….I buy from Mike at Colourmill.

Personal opinion is that there is nothing wrong with Colorific Inks as a product that i know of. in the UK i recon it is probably one of the most popular and reputable third party on the market.

How long a litre of ink lasts is down to the machine type, the profile, the output settings etc.
e.g. if i run banners all the time in production mode i will get far more banner printed than i would vinyl being printed in quality mode. there for printing banner will appear like the inks go further, if you see what i mean?
there is also full coverage of prints v’s 50% coverage of prints that too will make a dent in your ink consumption. a great many variables indeed.

I have been using Colorific for a great many years now in both our Roland AJ and Roland Soljet. The inks are plug and play with zero downtime or issues with profiles.

Supplier running out of stock. I cannot comment… but there isnt only one supplier of Colorific on the go. Robert Horne sell it as does Selectech. Granthams and Perfect Colours too "i think"

Jetbest appear to have a very good reputation also "from what i have read".
So i cannot fault them. but i have never used them and i do not know if they are "Plug and Play" Inks, so may need profile tweaks.

Jetbest inks are plug & play Robert, like colorific inks they are matched to the machine so when the original cart needs changing you just plug one of theirs in. No need to flush or change profiles. Well that’s what it says on the tin & was certainly true of their pigment inks.
