  Legal Logo Use

  Hi

  I have been asked to do a van for a local independant Renault mechanic.
  In his brief he wants me to put a large renault logo on the side.

  The logo chosen is an obsolete one. (which has been slightly bastardised)

  Is he legally allowed to do this?

  I think if you have to ask you already know the answer!!

  ‘Passing off’ or ‘misrepresentation’ springs to mind

  Sure you can do it if you don’t mind potentially being stuck in the middle of legal action & cease & desist lawyer letters…he’s the one that would incur any wrath.
