  • Is there an ink setting on the sp300v

Hi, when I bought my Roland sp300v it came with no inks. After reading around the net it said somewhere that after you have used the cleaning cartridges it asks what type of ink to to used Eco sol or Eco sol max but then cannot be changed. Is this true? How do I find out what it’s set to already? Would I have to use cleaning cartridges and go through the process to change the setting? Thank you!

think the setting is shown briefly from a full boot up.
cleaning carts best use the standard roland ones think you need 2 for that machine.
normally i think the carts can be used up to 3 times before empty.

Would it need doing though if it has all new heads dampers and things?

what would bother me is whats in your pipes as you say its been empty for a while. guessing but by the sound of it i would pull fluid through the pipes before i connected it to the new dampers etc.

the first thing that is done when installing a new machine is the cleaning carts are used to flush the system out before the inks get loaded.

perhaps one of the techs may comment on the above before you do it.

I was thinking of flushing the pipes, that’s why I wondered if there was any point using the cleaning cartridges because everything would be new or cleaned at that point. Like you say though they do it when new. So may be worth doing.
