Graphtec CE5000-60 help with keeping vinyl parallel.
As above, i am struggling a bit with keeping the vinyl straight when cutting, so any tips please. Another question is what is the max length i should cut in one run?

How long are you trying to cut and what height letters?
Longest We’ve ever cut is 7.4m at 575mm. can’t remember what Graphtech recommend.
Few things you can do, others may have there own suggestions.
Main thing is take time in lining up your vinyl, use the sheet function to see if running straight if you’re not sure. I’ve also extended the lines on to the rear to help.
Check your pinch and grit rollers aren’t worn/dirty. You can move them in a little if you don’t need the whole vinyl width to allow for slight variations.
Unroll vinyl so not too tight as can drag offline. -
pull about a meter of vinyl threw first then put your pinchers down.

It’s all about the loading – Firstly make sure the roll is nice & tight and even on its cardboard tube. Bring (as said before) a meter’s worth of material through then align using the marks on the front of the machine to help. Engage pinch rollers, hit enter and watch how the material tracks back – good indication how straight its going to run.
For really long runs I have even manually advanced the material to check tracking – Time consuming – yes, worth it when the job tracks correctly – yes.Check You-Tube too theres a few video’s my assistant found & watched (while he should have been working!)
