  • How do I laminate motocross vinyl graphics?

Posted by Damian Blackburn on 27 February 2012 at 21:11

Hi, in the next month I will be getting a Roland sp300 and I wanted to make some graphics for my motocross bike. Once the graphic is printed to vinyl how do you cut the laminate to shape? Or do you cut laminate and graphic all at once? Thanks

Yes, print the vinyl and allow to gas off (24hrs), then laminate and then cut.

I’ve not done motor X stickers, I’ve read that some machines struggle to cut thicker material often used for motor x stickers.

How does it know where the graphic is? Does it print reg marks to read?

Depends on your set up ie: software, hardware as to exactly how you do it.

But yes print the appropriate registration marks, so the cutter can identify where it is in relation to the print.

I have the same printer and also do my sons motocross bike. 2 things use the correct materials and second full heat and full blade pressure to cut the thick lamination film
