Thomson : Acrylic iPad stand
I’m not one for posting my work on the forum as the stuff I do is normally very mundane and run of the mill.
I made this I Pad stand for myself and thought it turned out pretty well…….6mm glass look acrylic.

That’s brilliant John. Did you cut and polish the acrylic yourself? And how was the apple logo applied – is that etched or etch vinyl.
I reckon you could make a fortune selling them on Amazon 😀

i am guessing you have made this via your laser?
i am not sure how long this would take to cut, but really could open allot of doors in as much as the gadgets and stuff you could create.
obviously the apple logo would need to go but still, having a general tablet holder for all types ipad, backberry etc etc worlds your oyster. 😉 -

Yes Rob, laser cut and etched…..I do have a flame polisher but the polished edge the laser leaves is much better.
I designed in Flexi then exported as a .dxf file to the laser software.
The base has 4 20mmx6mm slots and the supports simply push into place…the Apple logo is etched and was just for me 😀 ……total cut/etch time was under 4 minutes…..

Excellent job and possibly quite commercial. You beat me to it – I was about to ask if you’d fixed the up-stands using mortice/tenants or adhesive.
Very smart!I’m tempted to rush out and get myself a laser now… 🙂

not in to ipods etc. but that is class get in quick before others do.
