  • Advice Needed – Built ups with LED Halo onto Brick.

    Guys.

Just wondering if anyone can help me, one of our clients is looking for us to supply and install some built up letters to with a LED illumination. – Usually, we would produce these on a backing tray to hide all cables etc, but they have requested that the letters be fitted directly to the brickwork.

Anyone got any previous experience of this? – Whats the best solution?

    • Bring all cables all the way through the building.
    • Channel out the pointing in the brick and run the cables through? – Worst case 😮
    • Paint in the cables with a close match to the brick.

Attached are a few images the client sent me of what they are looking to achieve.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Best option is drill through and hide on the inside, if your lucky and the cavity isn’t filled with insulation too much, you can sometimes drill a slightly larger hole at a 45 degree angle behind a letter and "Fish" a wire through from one letter to another.

Second option is take a thin masonary disk on an angle grinder and cut A narrow track in the pointing and push a small clear bell wire into it,

Third option is use , depending on height of the ground, use clear sheath bell cable to link between letters, as it coppery in colour it hides well against bricks
