    8×3 ft banner, you should hem that in 5 minutes easily…

    nice idea on the welder, havent seen one that small. seen the high frequency ones that are huge… then theres the tape. stiching and liquid adhesives..

    also this one

    <embed width=”452″ height=”361″ quality=”high” bgcolor=”#000000″ wmode=”transparent” name=”main” id=”main” allowfullscreen=”false” src=”http://www.isigntube.com/player/vPlayer.swf?f=http://www.isigntube.com/player/vConfig_embed.php?vkey=918a4aa29be29d2c386f” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”>

    As Rob says, a 8×3 shouldn’t take too long.

    I started using tape, rather than subbing out our welding, 1) its quicker, 2) its cheaper.

    Edward, I have one of those welders. They use a Teflon covered heated element to weld. I have found that the heat needs to be set correctly, too cool and it makes an impression but does not weld. Too hot and the colour is burned off the banner.

    The other thing that I have found s to ditch the tray and plates as they get in the way and snag to banner as you try and pull it through as you weld. Without the plates and trays you can feed the banner through without snagging.

    It is the best money I have spent when doing banners.

    It takes about the same amount of time as taping the banners, but the finish is excellent when the heat is set correctly.
