    Hello everyone
    I m new User Uksignboards
İ bought Graphtec old cut&print machine jx-2150 one weeks ago
and this plotter not working with full function
first of all i have to write my software and computer configuration.
    I m use flexisign 8.5
my operation system is windows 7 64 bit
i m use the usb-serial port converter (this converter is working very vell with my mutoh sc-650 cutter)

First problems is with the Rs232 DB9-DB25 Serial port cable.
I was try many type of cable for connection (serial modem cable,Nulled modem cable and last one) but when software nead the read data from Plotter (for registration mark alingment in Flexisign) communication problem appered -read port error

My last cable configuration is like this

    DB9 Famele (Computer site) ——————- DB25 Male(Plotter site)

    2 ——– 2
    3 ——– 3
    1 ——— 4
    7 ——— 8
    4 ——– 5,6
    5 ——— 7
    8,9 ——-20
    Shell —- Shell
I found this pinout in Graphtec FC-5100 user manual and I make it

When I try counter cutting with the flexisign registration marks (2point vertical or horizantal or 4 point registration marks)
usualy I recive "read port error" in flexisign
sometimes it is working and filexisign want to second, third and fourt registration mark one by one and I move the cutter head each registration point .
When the start cutting job plotter cut t the different from the jop like mirrored or rotated and stretched
İ think so x-y-z Coordinate is wrong for starting and ending registration marks.
    anyway
my english is not inof for explain this problem

Today i ordered new rs232 PCI card for my computer
Because I have to be sure with hardware.

is there anybody confirm my cable pinout?
My pinout is true? or wrong?

I will write other problems later.
    Thaks for everybody

    cheers

    Hi,

Easiest way is to ring or email Tec support they should be able to give you all the info.

    Hi,

Give flexisign Tec support a call as its that software you seem to be having connection problems with.

    Hi Hatira,
I cant help you with this problem but, why not ring Graphtec in Germany. Everywhere I go there are Turkish people working in the computer industry. They will probably be able to help and in your own language too.
    Worth a try.
    Earl.

today i install my new rs232 pci card. And i receive mail from Graphtec America about pinout configuration
they give it to me same pin out

serial ports working more suitable than usb-rs232 converter. but problem is same.

when i try registration mark adjustment i m chose second registration mark and when i clik ok in software, cutter head must go to point 3 but my plotter go to point 4 …

    And Prompt lamp is binging.

and I can not register true plotting area correctly.

something is wrong on this plotter.
if i just send the cut jop everthing is fine

i will read the user manual today agan maybe i can find any hint or secret and
i will check all sensor on the plotter tomarrow

And thank you Chris my connection speed 9600 and all other handshaking protocol is same with the software and i was try GP-GL and HP-GL command set .
problem is same both command set.

i dont know.. what is the wrong?
anyway i m trying different alignment option (2.axis on Plotter menu)
someone can help me about this proses?
How can i Counter cut with 2.axis alignment in this Plotter?
yesterday i printed test page with graphtec registration mark type 1
and I try 2.axis alignment and plotter scan 3 marks and than get be ready position on corner mark left lower site but when i send the cut job , Cutting is started with 5cm distance from correct coordinate

I have to learning counter cut proses with this plotter.

    And one more question .
