Having trouble with printing
I noticed the other day that my printing is getting a little out.. I checked the encoder strip and it is out about 1mm or less.. I was told that was ok..I was wanting to know out and where to go to check the alignment of the print-head..I am not sure if that is the problem but I cant seem to find where to run the test for the alignment for it..If I could get help with this that would be great..I included some pics of it not a crisp pic.. I had the black print-head replaced awhile ago and I just think they didn’t do a very good job aligning print-heads. or is it something else. Can it be over saturation..if so is there a setting on the printer that I can change to compensate for it or so I just have to change the color values in photoshop..

The temp is cooler than in the summer but I would not think it would have change my print that much…Its been around 40 to 60 here in indy… Been raining so it not dry yet lol..But I did for get about humidity and temp change..usually when that happens I just have problems with banding not registration..

roland man myself so don’t know about that machine.
temp changes through the year make a difference so you may have a environmental check plus have you had a head strike. normally you can see in a head print check if they are out of alignment. -

temp changes through the year make a difference so you may have a environmental check plus have you had a head strike. normally you can see in a head print check if they are out of alignment.I’m trying to find out how to get to that to find out if the print heads are out of alignment…I just don’t remember why I don’t do it all the time how and where to run the test for the print head Alignment..When it did that before it was the encoder strip but I checked that and ran the test on it…but it checked out good..No I have not had a head strike…I just think the tech that did the alighnment did a half ass job… Thats why I was wanting to check the alignment..

that last photo is blurr’d.. is that camera or bleeding ink?
top photo shows what looks like head height is set to high and not low.

First test to run is the Print Adjust in the Maintenance menu. If that doesn’t do any good then it’s a case of going into engineers mode and running the slant, Y base and print adjust2 calibrations. Can you print just an empty square or rectangle and post it here to see?
