  • Supplier needed for brushed aluminium digital print material

Hi Guys, I currently use Metamark for this, its an outstanding product. BUT, I have a job to print 3000 labels and it means a few hundred meters of the material and it’s around £10 a meter without printing. That will outprice the job for me.

Does anyone know of a supplier that does a budget printable brushed aluminium self adhesive material? It’s for packaging labels. I really need to get it down below £5 a meter at least (my label printer is 760 wide)

    Cheers in advance

www. holographicvinyl.co.uk stock it at 610 wide. It should be alright to print on – just don’t know how the optical eye would pick up the reg marks but its probably the same stuff as the hexis so should be fine. for over 50m its £4 per metre plus vat it says on the website

Hi Stu, thanks for that, it’s just normal vinyl so thats not useable really, and also I was looking for brushed aluminium. Not holographic or silver.

No need to worry about registration marks, my printer prints and cuts without having to worry about that.

    Cheers anyway

it is a brushed aluminium. It looks like all the other brushed aluminium stuff I’ve ever seen from various companies. Its a metallic foil type vinyl a bit like chrome and you can definately print on it although with it being a silver brushed ali the colours will be slightly skewed as its not on a white base. I thought the optical eye would maybe pick up on one of the brushed lines in the pattern and get a bit confused!

    cheers

You can definitely print on it? I tried another brushed which was just an external vinyl and the ink just ran off… I just found it on the web site… thanks Stu
