Best Cling media for Ink against glass signage
Hi Guys,
I am looking for some advice on the best available media for making a batch of window stickers for our local Basketball team.
What they have asked for is a window sticker that can be fitted inside vehicle windows and viewed from the outside.
Not ever having done this sort of thing before I don’t know whats best and whether or not the inks used will diminish the "Cling" properties of the media used.
Will be using VersaCamm SP300V with EcoSol inks

you can use white static cling no problem but let it dry (cure) for a couple of days before you give them to your client. Leave as much white as you can and avoid having any colour at the edges.
or have a read here for temp stickers too, would prefer the above option though

I also meant to say I use Metamark cling with no issues. Do a search a few subjects on different clings and the problems you can have

Papergraphics do a good one as is the Metamak one. We have had no issues with printing 100% coverage and any curling at the edges on either makes. The longer they are up the harder they are to get off. Tell the customer to dampen the window slightly so they can be smoothed out more easily thus enabling them to stick better

I sell 1000’s of cling stickers it’s one of my product lines, when I first started doing them i printed on white, but found that in cars when they got hot, the ink would stick to the inside of the glass when you took them off. So i started reverse printing on clear and then laminate the rear with a white vinyl.
Never had any problem since apart from one customer who phoned me up and complained that it took him ages to peel the backing away from the sticker and he stretched it in the process, and he said I printed it around the wrong way.
Can you guess what he did…?
I tried to educate him as to what he did wrong, but he was adamant that they where just cr@p stickers…. lol oh well, forgot about the idiot factor!
I use metamark….. I just sold a batch of 1000 parking permits to a local yacht club, and this was their second annual order. When a customer returns for the same product, I have to assume they where happy with the first.
Reverse print on clear static and back with white, that’s my advice!

Thank you Gentlemen for your replies, will have a go with the Metamark product first but then take a look at the White Vinyl Laminate over clear if we have an issue.
