Been in your shoes a couple of years back mate…
Bit long winded to go into right now but i would suggest looking at machines around £70,000 and up…
yes there are a good few entry level options available but you get what you pay for. -
hi robert many thanks yeah i know i need to spend alot to get the results we had oce in yesterday which looks a very good machine which was £95,000

We have the OCE 350xt, we did have an other manufactures printer b4 which was considerably cheaper but was sent back as we were not happy with the print off it.
The OCE is one of the best printers we have ever owned, and now does the majority of our work, we still have latex and aqueous printers, but our film and paper bill has been slashed by printing direct to board.
The printer has enabled us to compete with the larger companies out there and take on work we would have never had a chance on.
White in is not the be all and end all, we still back up large clear sheets with vinyl as it is much quicker and more cost effective.
I spoke to many Arizona users b4 we got ours and no one had any really bad things to say.
We have been so pleased with ours we were on the OCE stand at Sign UK as testimonials.

Ou AGFA M2050 isn’t too bad now, we started off we issues but they mainly gone away… however white is not the best and it has to be kept mixed. One thing if you material holds an electrical charge/static you will effect the heads and doing backlit stuff you need to make sure your heads are working perfectly during the run. Also dont under estimate a white print job, the wider the nozzles on the printer (which is needed for white) the more ink it uses, this is apparent on the M2050. The oce i think uses smaller nozzles but the white on the AGFA is thick which is good for white base of colours.
So people need thin white, some need thick white.

if you don’t have a demand for white, be careful… like many printers, our UV flatbed printer would keep the inks moving on cycle. so if you arent running white ink daily, your machine may well be dumping the ink into the waste bottle. we werent using white ink other than on small acrylic signage, but were buying white ink in as regular as the other colours "by the litre".
