    evening all

A long standing customer of mine has asked me to produce some polycarbonate decals (125 micron) that need to have a 3m backing.

They also need to be cut/plotted somehow with curved edges .

    The equipment i have is..

    Versacamm 540

    Gerber edge

    Screen printing set up

I i’ve spoken to one rep and he’s advising me to buy a UV printer and flat bed cutter ..65k ish 😮

I would greatly appreciate any advice

    cheers

    Rob

You can buy polycarbonate for the edge, reverse print, back with sliver or white etc an laminate on the 3m adhesive and plot

would the plotter be up to cutting it ?

also there is going to be a high volume of these decals , Suppose i could invest in another Gerber .

I will check the Spandex site now for the polycarbonate

    cheers

    edit .. £18 mtr !!!! 🙁

Hexis sell the polycarbonate for edge printing. It’s slightly textured on the non print side (a bit like a anti glare finish really).

    Hexis DC2550/380mm-pattern 2 & around £10.40 PM
