  • Double sided banner help required.

Posted by Denise Goodfellow on 31 October 2011 at 19:15

    Hi

A customer has asked about a double sided banner. When ever we have supplied these before, we have bought them in from a supplier, then lettered them up.

We are trying to do it all in house this time.

Printing it is no problem, we`ll print 2 banners and put them back to back.

The question is, will heavy duty tape be OK, or do we really need to get the sides sewn?

    Hi Rob

They are 7ft x 2ft, running down the outside of the building. Metal arms fixed to the wall top and bottom and the banner fixed to them via bungee type straps

You will need to use double sided block out banner as the light will show the logo from the other side. You can run this through the machine and print on both sides.

I did some cafe windbreaker banners.

Printed on blockout banner both sides. Surprising easily.

I originally did the pockets with d/s hemming tape – it lasted about 2-3 weeks before needing welding and stitching. (the customer knew this might happen so no big issue)

I would print d/s and then get the pockets welded.

You can use tape but just punch an eyelet at both edges and one in the middle to stop it coming apart.
