    Hi,

I have a Roland CJ500. When changing a print head I seemed to have blown the main board.javascript:emoticon(‘:-?’)

I am looking for a main board for my printer.

I will buy a whole machine either working or broken. So if anyone knows of a working machine for sale or a machine tucked away collecting dust, anything would be considered.

    Hope someone can help.

    Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear about your board issues.

This part is now very rare, as im sure you are aware – but I will have a look around and see what I can find for you.

Are you sure the board has blown and not the head or maybe a cable issue?

    Justin

    Hi Justin,

Thanks for the reply. I have had an engineer on it and definitely the board. I thought I got lucky finding a company called macmedia that repairs boards via ebay but they only seem to do the newer machines. So I am holding out that I can find one.

    Regards,

    Mark

Mark, I’m sure Justin will be your best bet but I will ask around too. You may want to prepare yourself for either not being able to find one, or if you do find one, it may be so expensive that you’d be better off putting the money toward something else. All parts for that type of printer are becoming VERY rare so it might be worth putting a backup plan in place

Mark, I can get part number 7468214000 which replaces 7468214010 apparently. It’s originally for an FJ-50/FJ-40 so not sure if it’s any good to you. It’s out of stock but will be ordered direct from Roland so I’m being told it’s a 5-7 working days delivery time.

Oh, and it’s not cheap either!!! 🙄
