Windebank – Wallpapering weekend
Posted by Chris Windebank on 26 September 2011 at 08:01Just over 100m of digital wallpaper hung over the weekend in London. Used Tektura wallpaper with adhesive applied to walls (sanded and PVA’d first)
Do plenty of glass work, but first time for this type of wallpapering.Note the bowler hat lights in the lamp wall pics!

Brilliant Chris…
id love to get more involved with this sort of stuff…
especially at this time of the year out of the coooollllddd and in good light.
thanks for sharing hon -
some great design ideas there chris, well done mate.
was it paste and paper or adhesive backed wallpaper you used?i am in the process of looking at wallpapers, had some samples from various suppliers and waiting on a couple more before making a descision. so any help or advice appreciated. all new to me this wallpaper milarki. not a fan of the paste, its like applying vinyl with soapy bubbles. 😉 :lol1:

it was paste so I took a decorator along with me, best of both worlds in fitting.
Paste was applied to the walls but looking at the repositionable self adhesive wallpaper. There seem to be many suppliers of this in the last 6 months.
Am awaiting Metamark as they are releasing one this month or in December.
Any other advise on wallpapers would be much appreciated

I would have to say that my favorite at the moment is the Muraspec self adhesive re-positionable. lovely feel to it and goes on and off, and on and off many times without curling. prints really well also using our solvcent printer.
i ahve my samples from david at papergraphix in glasgow.
http://paper-graphics.com/just bought myself two of these knives also…

Love that tool but looks like the video was made in the 60’s!
Will email them tomorrow, thanks Rob. Won’t be calling their 0870 number though, why do they have to do that, surley it puts potential clients off nowadays.
Used to have an account in the exhibition days, thanks for the reminder -
I actually bought the knifes for working on vinyl. not for joins in vinyls etc either… doing a demo on it so will see soon enough. 😉
i can do what i want to do without the knife, but its very risky.
i spotted one for sale elsewhere and from memory i think they wanted over 100 Euro’s. on murispecs website they are listed for about £7.50 😕 :lol1:
bought two for £14.50 i think each from papergraphix, which i guess is the suppliers price rather than manufacturer. not sure, but better than 100 Euros! :lol1:i agree on the video too, bit dated "looking" i kinda feel same about the vista videos but know they arent. and just for the record, i do like vista systems, not knocking 😀 :lol1:
