Just had an enquiry for a number of signs, on 1/2 inch perspex.

They have supplied artwork in word, with a colour logo, and some text.

I assume I will better printing the logo on clear, then mounting the reverse with white vinyl?
The lettering I assume also will be easier to cut vinyl in reverse and apply to the back?

I’ve got prices from Ashby, and e-mailed Fabricut for supply of the perspex, I am open to suggestions of other suppliers.

It’s my first job like this so just guessing, but my customer is awaiting my quotation.

Prices from Ashby are pretty good on this stuff. We just had 5 pieces of this delivered today.

We used to use Bay Plastics in the north east before Ashby but it is so much easier to buy from Ashby.

    Cheers

Try Floreeda for your acrylic. Ask for Silicon Acrylic as this, when flame polished leaves the edges looking like glass!

Yes I have spoken to them and awaiting a price back.

I will base the price on Ashby’s quote for the time been.

If I can get it cheaper then that’s even better.

I have been getting these signs from Pinetree for some years now and their service and product is excellent.
You want the silica acrylic for green edges.
Specify polished all round. They’ll make holes where you want them and supply all fixings.
Your biggest headache is going to be getting artwork in a Word doc! 😉

I will give them a try peter.

Words ok as its mainly text. Its the production of the signs that I want to be right. It needs to be applied to the reverse of the acrylic so it can’t be picked off.
