Can anybody please help by telling me what the correct seqance is to inserting my cmykLcLm cartrigage in looking at the printer from left to right i thought the Lc would go in the old blue slot from the CMYkRB set up amd the Lm would go in the old red slot but after looking at pictures of other fj52’s converted to CMYKLcLm it does not appear so, can somebody please clarifie this for me thank you john

I’m pretty sure it should go (from left to right):

    K C M lc lm Y

They should also be keyed so it’s in theory impossible to get them round the wrong way??

Would it not be the same as the operators manual John.

Stafford when you use to convert these machines you didn’t alter things like cartridge sequences did you??

No, nothing as fundamental as that. A lot of people ran them with no light colours though as the profiling wasn’t great in those days and they used to overink, but that was just a case of running empty refillable cartridges in position 4 and 5.

John, pretty much everything should be the same as the manual for them. The conversion was to allow it to run more corrosive inks so the only real changes were to mechanical items like pumps, heads, tubing that would be destroyed in no time by the solvent inks. The rest of the printer is bog standard.
Not sure if these ones had the heater conversion carried out as not all machines had heaters fitted but Stafford should be able to answer that.

To my knowledge, all the solvent converted machines had heaters added. Certainly all of our Jetsolvers did, as did B&P’s Resolve. I can’t really speak for any others though.

If you ever get stuck with the printer, look for a company called Optimize. I’m sure Mark Elvidge used to work for Victory and probably knows all about them.
