as i will be asking a few of these can we leave it to one thread please.

if i print with marks for cutting later and i don’t want it left in the queue do i use the save button down the bottom. delete it from the queue then how do i get it back to cut.

save job as a rvw file, then when required again us the > File >add job to queue A or B from within versaworks

what does the wheel and A mean to the left of the file name please

THE WHEEL MEANS THE FILE HAS BEEN RIPPED AND THE A MEANS ITS BEEN PRINTED

Chris when saving I always save as follows
RVW Job + source file

I don’t tend to save jobs much, but I can see how it’d help as I’ve nearly deleted print/lam/cut files before cutting before now.
Wasatch was slightly better that way with the separate cut que.

have to agree so far.

also trying to get my head round white and metallic had some unexpected results, how the hell you learn this all from scratch with out previous experience i don’t know.

Lots and lots of trial and error chris.

You’ll get there, I started back in november and didn’t even know what versa works was, or even heard of roland printers!

Probably plenty I don’t know, but enough to get by.

There’s some good references on rolands website for versa works.

I don’t have metallic or white inks, so don’t know. What unexpected results are you getting?

just being a grumpy old git as been running colourrip for 7 years now have to learn VW, i don’t dislike it so far just got to learn there terminology.
for what i want to do which i do without thinking with colourrip.

trial and error costs a lot of money and time,

its not VW its just you have been doing it wrong with Colorrip for so long :lol1:

Give me a shout if you get stuck, I’m presuming that you have installed the the spot colours for cutting, white & silver plus the colour pallets. What software do you design in?

possibly right about colourrip.

all loaded and working from corel done some white and met colouring etc, started to understand the different profile handling of the white and met.

did you find my pm.
