  • Contour cut path required around this logo!

Posted by BenRead on 16 August 2011 at 09:27

    Good Morning all,

I am looking for a contour cut path to go around this logo, i have tried in signlab, illustrator etc but when i import it into versaworks for some reason it doesnt seem to work.

On the pdf its the magenta line which runs around the burger shake and fries, the archies and the fast food and shakes.

Not sure if im doing something wrong but it would be a massive boost if someone could help as ive been sat on this a little while! :p

    Thanks Ben

Ben, it looks very complicated when looked at in wireframe i would take the cutcontour line away from the image to one side, convert the image to a hi res bitmap and then powerclip the image back into the cutcontour line if you know what i mean

i opened it in x3 and the magenta line inside the bleed came up as a yellow line 100% cutcontour 0.088mm

also the text at the bottom.

there is something odd with this one as it crashed corel and colourrip, George was on the case separate the cutpath and turn the graphic to a jpeg place the cutpath back on top. send out as a eps.

oh I hate when ‘BarStewards’ do it… anyway, the trick is to divide all, ungroup and remove unwanted paths. Easy in this case as you only wanted an outline.
    Here you go.
