    hate it! :lol1:

I am not a fan of VW’s and the like mate. i have two mates that are right into the whole v-dub scene… just doesn’t appeal to me.

good idea on the tent though. i believe the UN where using similar type thing with their tanks to fool the serbian fighter jets in blowing them up. 😀 :lol1:
ok not same thing, theirs were inflatable… ill be quiet now. :lol1:

well… if you are stupid enough to buy a tent for that price, good look to the inventor, hope they give better performance than the Van!

lol, I’m not a big dub fan to be fair, though for what it is I don’t think it’s that expensive if you’re into that kinda thing.

certainly not expensive as far as tents go, ok, compare it to the trash you’ll get in most argos and halfords stores and you’re right but a quality tent isn’t cheap. The tent I’ve had for the past five years cost £350 thankfully I had a pal working at the caravan place and got his staff discount as it was selling well at £495! it’ll last a season or three more too!

my guess is they have it pitched ( 🙁 ) about right for the target buyer.

you’re probably right Chris. was similar in my old mopar circles, for year we had them for the love of them, then they became a bit ‘niche’ and more desirable and the big money / trendy sheep got involved, prices for everything associated went up along with it 🙁

Dub owners are the same, those who love em for what they are – even when they’re really hanging, and the surf brigade who often pay way over the odds and push up the prices for everyone!

as i don’t follow the price of tents i just thought that it was dear enough but for the enthusiastic vw person its a I MUST HAVE and relatively affordable.

i think its a brill idea and will certainly take off its not that expensive compared to many tents around just now…i just love the novelty factor and can imagin many folk having a smile and giggle on the campsite when they see it 😉
