    Hi,

Has anyone used clear vinyl on vehicle graphics to give a a subtle decal.

I know on white you would not see much but on a dark colour like blue or black it would have the effect of a varnish effect as used in printed folders and cards etc.

    Any thoughts.

    Cheers

    Johnny

Etched glass effect vinyl can look nice on dark colours as well.

Yep, I have used Etch effect vinyl on various vans, looks great. I can see how matt clear would work, but would have thought gloss was too subtle! Still I know what you mean about the effect on bus. cards etc.

    Cheers

I have used clear vinyl on vehicles but domed on top which gives a gloss effect,
The only problem I have encountered is on one decal it looked like here was condensation or something forming in parts.

not a problem using clear for a good visual effect only thing i found was you can always spot the dirt round the edge more if applied to white vans 😀
