  Hi there,

  I really wish you can help me with information, my printer is the MUTOH
  ROCKHOPPER 1 ,I bought in UK and brought to Nigeria Africa where we don’t have a
  qualified tech. I have been repairing the printer my self with supplies from
  digitprintSupplies of Belgium. For six months now I have not been able to print
  because the printer has persistently written encoder error 070 and refusing to
  complete initialization. I have replaced the following parts;

  1) Motherboard.
  2)Power-board
  3)Headboard Assy
  4)Encoder sensor
  5)Encoder stripe.

  Yet it refuse to complete initialization.

  What else do I need to do to go back to printing?

  Hi,
  do you have a copy of the Maintenance Manual?
  If not I can send you a PDF of the Rockhopper Mutoh manual
  which lists the various error codes—inc the one that
  you have listed.
