In case you’re all wondering, I don’t just wrap BMW 5 series for a living, but they’re like buses this week!!

Here’s another one, the customer wanted a White one but didn’t want to wait for a dealer to source him one, so he chose a wrap!

Again, the film is 3M 85 series Cv3, took around 16 hours to complete.

    nice job Andy
Just curious, what is the purpose of the masking tape on the boot?

    Andy very nice work,

i think the tape is to stop the boot lifting

    Hi Peter,

Thanks… The masking tape is to hold the boot down, I chock it open so it’s slightly raised so I can wrap past the edges without the vinyl sticking to the rear quarters, but on these models the boot has an automatic open function so if I don’t tape them down they constantly go to the fully open point!

nice job Andy, do you do the internal parts of the doors boot etc that can be seen when they are open? i see some people offer this but it looks a bit of a pig to get right in round everything

We did a car with the 3M white a few weeks back. it does go on really nice but you can still see the air channels in the vinyl which I can imagine some customers being picky about.

Door shuts are a pain, especially on 4 door cars and they never look good as there are too many hinges in the way..

BTW, the handles on BMWs come off very easily Andrew.

    Hi

    Got a question for you

how do you do the back quarters with the roof and bottom side siles

are they all done on one piece or do you join them

always wondered as most new cars the back is in once piece

    cheers
