  • Trying to source Banner frame, help please!

Posted by Dan Osterbery on 17 March 2011 at 09:20

    Hi All,
i have been asked to source a frame for a banner, that is 555cm x 225cm and ideally it needs to not show any of the tension system, i have found this system and was wondering if anyone has used it? The last system we used was incredibly difficult to get an even tension across the banner!

    any help appreciated

    cheers

    Dan

    Dan,

Haven’t ever used that system but have used the black clip system from Signcomp. Works for us.

    thanks Nick,
that also looks like a simple and effective system! I have asked for more details on the site, is it as straight forward as it looks on the video?

    cheers

    Also check out Spirit Displays

The double C section will provide the stiffness required for that size, also very low profile.

    Dan,

It isn’t quite as simple as it looks in their demo……. is it ever? :lol1:

The thing I’d say is that it’s worth spending time getting the clips 100% perfectly positioned. Also, if you can, do this in the workshop. If you try to clip them on-site or if they aren’t positioned correctly it can turn into a bit of a nightmare.

We’ve used the Spirit system as well. It’s a good system too.

    Nick.
