Hi everyone, im trying in vain to locate a decent cutter. Can anyone advise on whether a Mutoh Gerber fastrack is reliable enough? Or would you suggest a Summacut D60 as being a better option?

    Any advice greatly appreciated 😕

Thanks for that Chris. I have the chance to buy one with 100 meters of vinyl, a dell pc with Fexi 8.1 plus some app tape and squeeges. Its going to cost me £900, but not sure if its a good deal or not? 😕

For vinyl cutters, either Roland or Graphtec.
First choice Graphtec, closely followed by Roland. cannot fault either… we have had these machines for many years and going through high volumes of vinyl cutting on a daily basis.

    your right mate…
we did have Polls running the first few years the site setup. but theres various ways it can be cheated in favour for some and not others. they were slow burners too and became old hat and got removed.

polls only show users of the machines though.
by that i mean, i bet theres dozens of Rabbit cutters on UKSB. high number doesn’t mean they are good. the fact they are terrible, it would give off the wrong signals for potential investors, seeing that allot of folk run these machines.

even on the more reputable makes. we all recommend machines that make us money and no faults. but cutters and the like are really like motor cars.
Take one careful lady owner that drives to the shop once a day and a sunday drive each weekend. she doesnt drive fast, takes good care of her car and hardly uses it. 20 years later she cannot fault it.
take same car and hand it to a taxi driver. the list of problems could be endless due to it being on the road all the time, full cab weight, etc etc

this is why when i list my choice i also make a point in saying the machine is very heavily used.

something ide like to know if it was possible, is to find out the distance the cutter travels/cuts.
i remember our old Roland PC60 used to have a reading on it to tell you the distance it had printed in bands/stips.
