Are they both serial output, if so you can use the spooler. Have both plotters plugged into one computer, one computer will go out direct the other will be set to use the spooler remotely. Don’t think the spooler works with usb but the cut manager would but I’m not sure how to set that up. Computers need to be networked

main machine with 4100-130 is connected to com1

back up workstaton has usb ce5000 but want to use 4100-130 on it

have installed driver – chose to cut 4100 from device option – changed all settings to match main machine driver

    computers are networked

i think it needs to find com 1 on main machine

First question is which version of Signlab?
    Assuming 7.x or 8.x
The best option is to use the Cut Manager, as Alan said this will work with USb and com ports, the Spooler will not.
Go To Cut > Plotting defaults > Setup, select the plotter that is not attached to this PC, Click the port Tab at the top, Click the option for "Use Visual Production Manager" or "Use Print & Cut Manager". Click the option for "New Remote…" and browse the network to find the Cut Manager or VPM folder on the second machine. once you have the correct folder located the OK will become available to you. Click OK.

Now Go to Port Location, the ports you see here will be the ports on the remote PC, select the port for the remote plotter. Click Apply and OK.

The plotter is now setup. Repeat for the second PC and both will be able to plot to both Graphtec plotters.

    Things to note:
If your PC does not have a VPM or Cut Manager installed insert the Signlab installer CD, and when run it will give you the option to install a standalone Cut Manager.

For the USB connection on the Graphtec, you should choose the port Externall DLL, this will hook up with the graphtec USB port. If you get an error "Unable to open output Pipe" or similar, you need to install the USB driver from Graphtec.
