Sorry Chris, loved the Nursery/child care place but not so keen on this one. Think the main reason is because when I first looked at it I thought British Gas. Still admire the work that has gone into it though so it’s not all bad :lol1:

Everyone keeps banging on about British Gas… I don’t see it myself! 🙁

Really really like that Chris…..that wall vinyl has great potential. How long will it last do you think?
-
Love the wall graphics you are doing. Just wondering, would you need planning permission for something that big? I know it’s only the same as an advertising hoarding but it would be an eyesore in some peoples eyes.
-
That’s a good point David because you would probably find you need planning permission to put up a new hoarding board.
Chris, maybe you don’t see it because you designed it and you know what you were thinking at the time.
I am the only person on the forum that made that comment so I am guessing people locally have made comments. Sorry but the British gas advert had the houses on separate planets or parts of planets in space with the van flying through space between the houses.
Like I said before I do think it’s a great bit of work which will obviously get you noticed but the British Gas thing was the first thought I had when I saw it.

Cheers for the comments. We own the building, and the buiding opposite of the wrap is empty, so we just went ahead and did it!
It’s 30 metres long by about 6 high I think – using the cast wallwrap vinyl!

Love the wall Chris, I’ve been trying to find a customer i can sell this sort of thing to.
As far as planning goes, I would think putting this on a wall is no different to painting a building. It is temporary and not a new construction so IMO not needing planning.
In The Lake District here, there are pretty strict planning regulations yet people paint their buildings in some very wild colours which often cause local complaints but they can not be forced to change them. -

Bet it did too. Looks great though!
Chris, is that the 3M stuff? I was talking with Dex about that last month.
Edit: nevermind, not the 3m i guess.
