is there a reason why you cant open the eps in signlab, and scale there?

    Hi Richard,

Is that illustrator cs3 or photoshop cs3?

If you open in illustrator highlight everything (ctrl & shift & A) grab the top left corner and hold down shift (to keep proportion), drag down to size. Should be it.

If push comes to shove you can always convert the stroke to an object, no problems then

Thanks Guys, sorted now. Peter for some reason it would not let me import into Signlab. The file was OK in Adobe Illustator but when I saved it out to produce in Signlab every thing but the strokes scaled correctly, worked around it now by saving in Corel first, thanks for looking Rich

maybe you need to check the lock proportions box before scaling up

Hi Peter this is correct and when I create designs its fine and the effect scales up with the rest, however when I did this with the ESP file created in CS3 it was having none of it, Rich

    Hi Richard,

It is because it is a stroke. It won’t scale to proportion, if it was a separate object it would. Stroke never does.

    Glad it’s sorted.

Next time you get this problem in Illustrator, outline the stroke:
    Object>Path>Outline Stroke.
It’s a bit like creating outlines on text, it should iron this problem out 🙂

    Andy,

In illustrator you can also set the preferences to ‘scale stroke and effect’ (under ‘general’ tab) – you can then keep as a stroke if you prefer for future editing.
