megaroller! to the rescue!
Posted by Dan Osterbery on 7 October 2010 at 16:05Just to let you know that the megaroller saved me today! A member of staff dislocated a shoulder and obviously didnt come to work, and i managed to get a friend with no vinyl experience at all, to come in to help! We set him up with the megaroller and he managed to apply 70 signs perfectly! must say very impressed with it! not really used it much before and it is fast and easy and the application is perfect! bubble free, dry! Nice to be pleasantly surprised by a product for a change!
Cheers

Can you use narrower media in a wider roller if that makes sense? ie can you use a 1370 wider roller for 760 wide graphics?Cheers

i must confess i was a bit sceptical, but it is great! i can go home megahappy and enjoy some megavino!
have a look harry! ive only got the small one but im quite interested in the big one now! it might even be an answer for people with out laminators!

Yup, if you are mounting to boards it will be a bit trickier! but for floor graphics or just plopping stuff on flat surfaces it is amazing! We just set up two bits of wood either side of the board today so he couldent drift left and right and it worked a treat! it is a really simple bit of kit but it works!!

I see Robert Horne is the distributer for UK. Will have to get onto the rep and have a gander mate.
Thanks for the feedback

Hi Colin,
not sure whats costs are involved in the 137cm, to be honest i posted about the megaroller about a year ago, and it was seen by http://www.igsuk.net/ and they sent me a megaroller, they are an official uksg supplier. i am sure if you have a look at their site there will be info. They were kind enough to send me the megaroller for testing, because i was enquiring about it.
I am not banging on about it because it was free, i am truly shocked by how well it works, and by how easy to use it is, and wish i had the time to try it sooner, it could have saved loads of hassle! I imagine if you are doing large flat panels you can get a perfect finish in under a minute! i challenge even the best squeegee kings to beat that!Regards

how can you make sure it goes on straight? you cant put wood ‘guides’ on all jobs…

Hi Dan,
Off topic I know, but are you going to the Sign exhibition in Madrid next week?
If you are, perhaps we could meet up for a beero.
My phone number is 96 689 7150

oooooh thats straight lol
but, if its cheap enough to become something you could get clients to use?

Hi Leon,
i guess an experienced fitter would draw lines with a chinograpgh or use vinyl markers! i will have more of a play with it and come back to you!Hi Chris,
no we are not going this year! we have too much on here and with a member of staff down cant take the time off! Shame would have loved to meet for beer and a chat!cheers

It would be a good idea to have a spirit level built into it!!
