i’m guessing this isn’t really a cutter problem and as yet, i’ve not tried a job lot of fonts to see if it’s all or some but,

of late, almost every font i pick up and send from corel12 to my summa cutter via winplot, takes forever to cut, stuff i draw is fine, its just fonts, i’ve converted to curved and checked out the nodes, nothing unusual as far a i can see…. ok, after painfully watching it cut two lines of text in flora something, taken over ten mins to do about 75 characters around 40mm high, it’s not cutting another font perfecctly well,

i know there was a thread about this recently but i can’t find it, i now have to sit here another 15 mins while it cuts the other one! thought i’d sneak down and do a quick job while there’s cack on the tv and everyone is out, so much for a quick job!

anything i can do to stop this? cutter usually rubs at 200-250mm per second max, this rate its all jerky and slow a you like on the fonts curves 🙁

tell a lie, just had a closer look at this particular font, in hindsight i think it’s the same as i used the other day, maybe not happening as much as i thought?

this is awful and will be dumped as far as cutting it goes!

this is the top part of an h, n is the same, as is m, t, u, etc

I thought you might be having the same problems as I was.
The one font I use all the time kept cutting funky.
My Graphtec settings were somehow screwed up.
The guys on here helped me.
I am used to using a 1989 Gerber 4E, I don’t think anything could be as slow as that thing was.
    😀
