I will be drilling 5mm holes into 4mm clear acryllic. I need a advice on which drill bit to use (wood, metal, any specific?) so to not break the sheets or melt around the edges. Any other tips would be appreciated.
A normal metal bit is fine, make sure it is sharp so it doesn’t melt the acrylic. Make sure you drill onto a sacrificial board to prevent splitting.
You will find that cast acrylic is a lot better than extruded.
