Cutting Oracal 383-003 Ultraleaf?
Hi.
I need to cut some Oracal 383-003 ultraleaf with my Graphtec CE500-60.
Any special blade or force required?
Is anyone familiar with this product?

uses les than 1/2 an inch, and then adjust to get the best cutPeter

Try lowering the force and do some test cuts and adjust the force gradually till you get a good cut?

I’m just afraid of screwing up my blade.
I was wondering if I should use the other holder (red top) and the 60° blade. I do have a spare of that.
Guess I’ll cut the regular cast part of the job first then goof around with the settings. I do have a big roll of it, and it’s not like I’ll be using it again anytime soon.

Blades are pretty robust, and only cost a few bucks to replace anyway…#

Anyway, have made some adjustments and it seems to be doing OK.
I keep forgetting that I am no longer running a 1989 4E.
The Graphtec is quick as a whip, it seems to be doing great.
(my old 4E would be chugging away chewing things up with me manually adding or removing those little weights)
And blades, my supplier makes me order a two-pack, about $100, and it takes about a week to get that in.
So I am a bit paranoid.
Will try to post pix later on if the application goes OK.

Hi Jill,
Its a metallized PVC film so should cut similar to 5400 or 5600 reflective , let me know if anything special needed though as we stock this and would be good advice to give if needed.

Jill, why aren’t you using a CleanCut blade in your cutter? Hundred bucks for two blades????? You need to call Ross, right away.

I intend to try CleanCut again, I did try them once with my old 4E.
I swear they were a different size than the "real" Gerber blades though.
