    Tony
Thanks for this. On first impressions it has improved things regarding opening files.

One thing it appears to have done is mess with the jpg export facility. This now takes an age and the preview is either none existent or very very dark. Maybe I am just missing something though.

    Thanks again

I was always having trouble with the Jpg export, took ages and if the image was over a certain size it didn’t show the preview at all, then sometime it didn’t export with the settings I’d selected.

Gona go and get it now so I’ll see for myself and let you know.

Export JPG on XP is a problem…we use a technology called WPF in that dialog and somtimes it’s not happy on XP with large files…most noteably the export preview window goes blank. The file will still export (not black) and use the settings set in the dialog.

We fixed a number of issues in the dialog but there could be some remaining.

    re: Slow

In the GM release the default max pixel output of the dialog capped at 5,000 pixels in one direction..one could open the transformation section and adjust, but it would default to a cap of 5000 px. In SP1 we changed this so it now does 100%…which could result in longer load times in the dialog, but it’s exporting what is expected now.

i had a quick play, need to see how it preforms on the designer computer. But felt the general patch was quick. (with live text off)

    Opening files seems quicker.
The jpg export so far looks better and faster than it was.

Not had much chance other than that as I’ve got a few jobs to get out using it so I’ll let you know how it goes.

Seems to still hang on clicking an icon sometimes still, like it’s busy doing something else then it catches up.

    XP pro SP3.
