  • Vinyl advice, suitable for stickers on polypropylene bins

Posted by Neil English on 30 June 2010 at 08:50

    Hello,

Would anyone be able to recommend, a suitable vinyl, to produce printed stickers applied externally to textured polypropylene bins?

    Thanks in advance.

    Neil 🙂

Either Hexis VCR3000WG1 or LG LD3888 G (from APS). Both are ultra high tack for
use on difficult substrates, and both are 4 year monomeric. Hexis do polymeric and cast
versions too, but they are expensive, and probably over specced for bins.

    Hi Neil,

We use a product supplied by Amari,

    Arlon DPF 8000

Great product for exactly that use.

    Cheers
    Adam.

    Hello Neil,

Would like to test this Avery 4900QM vinyl, but am having trouble sourcing a sample, have tried Robert Horne with no luck and they say Avery wont supply any samples!

Any idea where I might get a sample?

    Thankyou

    Neil

I’ve done nearly 3000 stickers onto wheelie bins going into the olympics using LG3888 & standard laminate with no problems to date. In the process of running 2 rolls at the moment. Found the LG vinyl to have a more agressive glue than the Hexis version. LG glue gets very aggressive with high temperature like what we have at the moment
