    hi folks i have a sign to do for the interior of an accountants office . i suggested that we do it using chrome standoffs. The wall is just plasterboard i thought glass would be to heavy so suggested clear acrylic any other suggestions welcome

    Depends on the size Brian and the number of stand-offs, the plasterboard thickness….

    The ‘self-drill’ plasterboard mounts work well (METAL ones) as nearly all of the load is vertically through the wall – very little pulling it out.

    Done many, many acrylic ones – up to 1.5 x 1.0m in 8mm…weighed a fair bit! No probs…

    I have just done one 1000mm x 1000mm into plaster board using plaster board fisher fixings with 4 25mm stand offs. 10mm clear acrylic with green edge to look like glass. Rich
