3m window film RE20

Hi, did not know really know where to put this subject, I am looking to buy 3m window film RE20 I can not seem to find anywhere that sells it, can anybody help?

Hi Tara

I might be breaking the rules here so if I am I’m sure Rob will scrub this one quick but you only mention RE20 is it –
RE20SIARL (10 year internal silver solar control film) or RE20BRARXL (5 year external bronze solar control) your needing??
it might help with your search if you have the full code.

If you don’t know the type of film you need Tara or where it’s going to be used then you don’t know enough about doing the job mate.

3M film is expensive and easy to stuff up if you’re not a qualified tinter – could be really expensive for you.

Just found out its RE20SIARL but still not having any luck, any ideas ?

It is going to be installed by a qualified tinter I just wanted to find out where to purchase it, don’t worry will not be fitting it myself lol

try william smiths they on signboard suppliers list give them a ring and ask to speak to rob he is really helpful

…a WILD thought…why get a tinter to just fit it? Surely they will have sources already, and possibly stock.

They may well apply a small mark-up on the material but balance that against searching round for a few days, numerous phone calls, paying shipping and heaven forbid – the tinter ruins a panel.

Pass THEM the problems…it’s their job…and just take a bit less profit.

Main reason for getting an approved tinter to install is that normally the Film manufacturer will only warranty the film and glass if installed by an approved tinter who has considered the type, thickness, size, shade pattern etc of the window.
The type of film and its absorption of heat are also critical to understand.

However if the warranty is not important then a Silver 20 reflective film will usually be fine on most glass types and the fitting itself is fairly straightforward, although quite different to vinyl.
