  • The best way to Laminate?

Hi, I am wanting to Laminate large-format inkjet prints after been bonded onto Foamex or Foamalux board. What is the best method of laminating the paper to give it a great non glossy look "by hand"… Spray or Laminate film?

    Thanks for any help…

What is the material you are printing on?
far better to laminate before mounting,

    Thanks Peter.

I will be having designs printed onto standard large-format inkjet prints. Could, for example, large format prints be laminated with a Sandtex laminate, rolled up for posting and then be applied to sheets of Fomaex afterwards?

    Hi Andrew

Any reason why they can’t be laminated after being printed by the ‘printers’

    Just a thought…..

If you are subbing out the printing anyway, why not get the design printed directly onto the foamex?

    I aggre with Owen.
    Thats the easy option.
If not, supply the prints laminated, then fit.

Thanks all of you for your comments. I was planning to do all the mounting myself as I was wanting to make some profit from making the large format display (maybe 80 in total). My design costs aren’t that much for only one design, so I thought I’d give making the displays a try, as I like to do manula stuff as well as design.

After reading your comments though, I may get the designs printed onto foamex in the end. Thanks for the input…
