  • Flat cut lettering – gun metal finish

Posted by John Hughes on 2 May 2010 at 09:19

Hi. We’ve been asked to supply some flat cut letters with a ‘gun metal’ finish which will be fitted on a facia for an upmarket shop.
Apart from facing cut letters with vinyl, has anybody any other suggestions for a suitable material.

    cheers

    Hi,

Dibond do a range of brushed materials. I’m sure you should be able to get a swatch from any good supplier.

We have a small hand size swatch of all the available di-bonds and there is a few brushed and metal style types that may serve your purpose.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi there
i’m just working on something similar myself. You can get 2mm aluminium flat cut stand off letters powder coated to any ral colour you like. You can get it in gloss, matt or satin finish. I think this would be your best option.

The price is not that high if you shop around i am going with a supplier from the toolbar – apple lec sign, i got a great service and advice from them.

Ring them and tell them exactly what you need, they will sort you out.

    Liam

Do you all have a Router / Laser Cutter to cut your flat letters like in this tutorial?
